What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?
Cannabidiol, or as you may know it

, has been making headlines for the past few years. With over 130 cannabinoids that can be found in the cannabis plant, CBD is one of the most widely known along with THC. [As well as some of the minor cannabinoids that include cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), and cannabinol (CBN).]
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, unlike it's popular counterpart, the psychoactive THC. CBD will

get you high or cause many of the feelings that THC does like paranoia, anxiety, and more. The World Health Organization reported, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."
Is CBD legal in the USA?
The short answer is yes, the CBD products that you buy at the vape shop, smoke shop, corner store, natural food store, etc. are hemp-derived CBD products and are being marketed as dietary supplements legally because of the 2018 Farm Bill. However - Just because they are legal, that does not mean they are high quality. So we recommend always shopping a brand that is known and has current lab results available for your review.

The FDA states their main concern is that CBD products are being marketed as a dietary supplement, which is not regulated in the way medicine is. Because there are companies that are more concerned with profit than providing a healthy, quality product some of the CBD available is raising concerns. Labeling is not always accurate, and many websites are vague with very little quality accountability provided. Many do not even provide lab tests, or outdated ones.
It is imperative that you do your due diligence, and purchase from a company that provides current lab tests on their products with lots of great reviews. Watch out for CBD companies making claims that sound too good to be true, because they typically are!
